Evolution opened its doors in North Balwyn in 2007 and is the leading personal training facility in the Greythorn Shopping Centre.

Our philosophy is to make training fun in a non-intimidating environment so you feel comfortable working out and are motivated to maintain your training program. We include much variety in your program so you do not know what to expect when you come to train, instead you can be confident that you are receiving the best care and attention available.

Evolution is like one big family. Our members befriend and motivate each other to workout and get results whilst enjoying the process. We conduct monthly workshops for our members to discuss various issues and we celebrate our members success in our monthly newsletter

Ryan Mitchell

Ryan is the owner of Evolution and was inspired to create a unique training environment for people to exercise in. Through his extensive experience in gyms and studios he realised that most people don’t want to put up with the loud music, the grunting beef cakes or the lycra clad fitness bunnies.

Evolution reflects Ryan’s training approach of combining weight training with correct technique and aerobic training at the right intensity in a fun, comfortable atmosphere.

Ryan loves discovering new and challenging exercises and believes variety is the key to maintaining motivation.

Ryan has been involved in sport all his life and in 2008 was the Australian Powerlifting Champion (110kg class) and represented Australia at the Oceania Powerlifting Championships in Tahiti. His desire to help others achieve good health lead him to personal training. He does not define success in kilograms lost or muscles gained but in the lasting progress being made today and the fun enjoyed along the way.

Troy Hill

Troy has a very successful sporting and fitness background which has seem him play many sports including Football, Basketball, Netball, Swimming and Athletics at State level.

He has played over 200 games of Representative football and played in the Division 1 Premiership Team 4 years in a row.

His love of fitness and active lifestyle lead him to the Fitness Industry and his desire to help other people feel the way he does as a result of a healthy, active and fun lifestyle got him into personal training.

Troy loves sharing his passion for health and fitness with others. He likes being able to meet new people and form strong bonds with them whilst training and helping them turn their lives around.

Troy doesn’t just like getting people fit, he loves the opportunity to have a positive impact on their lives and have as much fun as possible in the process.
